三八节“无畏的小女孩”现身纽约华尔街,象征女性的勇气

上周,三月七日,麦肯纽约趁着夜色悄悄将“无畏的小女孩”树立在了华尔街铜牛的对面。这个昂首挺胸,斗志昂扬的“小不点”,跨越年龄与种族,象征着女性的勇气和无畏精神。

这个勇敢的小女孩,旨在象征女性领导力的精神,由艺术家Kristen Visbal制作。Kristen说:“这是与每一位女性息息相关的雕塑。铜牛就像生活中的诸多问题,我们需要坚定立场,坚持自己的观点,然后解决它。”

在这个传统中以男性为主导的金融街上,在这个庞大雄壮的铜牛面前,小女孩的身影显得十分渺小。但女性就是这样,她们往往能从柔弱的身躯中迸发出极大的力量。小女孩获得纽约市政府批准,将在华尔街驻留为期一周的时间。到今天为止,她已经呆了五天了。

对此,ADWEEK采访了麦肯主创团队的资深文案Tali Gumbiner和资深艺术总监Lizzie Wilson,聊一聊背后的故事。


Q1:首先要祝贺你们!你们之前有预期到这么棒的反响吗?

Tali:当我们第一次萌发创意,就感觉到了她的魔力。但是制作的艰难、办公室漫长的黑夜,让我们逐渐觉得前途未卜。所以当她正式亮相时,我们都有点迷茫,深感责任重大,不知道这个城市对这个小女孩的出现会有什么反应。我们完全没想到反响会这么热烈。

Q2:你觉得她如此吸引人的原因是什么?

Lizzie:我觉得这跟“孩子”有关。当你看到她时,你也看到了你的孩子。从她的身上,能看到你的未来,也看到你的过去。

Tali:我们与道富环球讨论了很长时间,他们提供了很多宝贵意见。当然,时间契机也是很关键的因素,国际妇女节更能引发大家的感情共鸣。


Q3:为什么会选用一个雕塑的方式来呈现?

Tali:道富环球与我们分享了一份资料,他们有一个名为SHE的交易所投资基金,只投资于女性有领导地位的公司;而且他们研究发现,女性高层能带来更好的财务回报。所以,我们有了这样一个机会,不只是提倡女性的领导力,而是需要改变那些成功企业的想法。非常具有挑战,但是也非常酷。

华尔街作为传统男性领导力的领域,人们下意识或者有意识地认为:金融公司的骨干就应该是男性。我们要找到一种方法让人们重新思考,只做平面或者视频就太浪费了。

我们如何能以一种“破坏性的”、从没人做过的方式呈现呢?华尔街铜牛,是权力的象征,但它也是男性的象征,人们排队就为了摸它的私密部位,这一点却无人提及。所以,女孩来了。

Q4:整个制作周期用了多长时间?

Tali:通常制作这样的东西需要一年多,但我们去年12月才刚刚出了brief。感谢我们英勇的雕塑家Kristen Visbal和制作团队,和他们无数个通宵。

Lizzie:用青铜浇筑的程序,其实和古罗马时期没有什么差别,需要花几个月时间,所以他们一直在通宵,简直要疯了。雕塑家Kristen是我们勇气的源泉。

“无畏的女孩”引发了纽约市民的热烈反响,团队也接到了许多政界和好莱坞名流的电话。女孩在华尔街驻留时间延长至4月2日,而让她永久留在华尔街的呼声仍然十分高涨。让我们再次感谢麦肯纽约团队的杰作。
