Colenso – one of the World’s most revered and awarded creative companies - are looking for a brand strategist for their new studio in Shanghai,

Working alongside a Shanghai-based creative and account team, you will partner with the Colenso team in New Zealand, to create work that will build an exciting future for one of the World’s most recognized sports brands across all of Asia-Pacific.

Your role will be to help identify and lead creative and cultural opportunities that allow our client to build their brand in the most powerful and memorable ways possible. 

You will have 4+ years experience within a creative agency, a history of developing and writing creative briefs, experience presenting and working alongside senior leaders and a strong passion for culture, sport and creativity.

Relationships

Internal-This role reports to the CSO and works alongside client account leaders and senior creatives.

External-This role will have direct contact with Heads of Marketing, Creative and strategy at both Client side and Media operations.

Development

Whie based in Shanghai, you will be continually developed and mentored by our CSO (who has over 2 decades working in – and around – Asia).

This will be done both in person and online while also ensuring you are fully incorporated into the Colenso strategy team to both provide additional support and other opportunities to create work you would not be able to create anywhere else in the world.

•        Care more about the output than the process to get there. [even though that is important]

•        Create Comms Frameworks that lead to innovative ground-breaking creative work

•        Assist clients with knowledge and strategy that enables them to keep moving forward.

•        See opportunities for clients to add to culture through social behaviour rather than just steal or bore.

•        Translate client needs into creative deliverables that will play to current social narratives and dynamics

•        Love creativity more than ads.

•        English & Chinese fluent is must
