Summary

Reuter Communications is a luxury intelligence, digital, communications and marketing agency connecting luxury brands and businesses with Asia’s affluent consumer.

We are currently looking for a Digital Designer/Senior Designerto join our growing Shanghai team.

The successful applicant must have extensive digital experience andcreate meaningful, engaging, seamless experiences that enable emotional connections with our customers. 

Key responsibilities 

• Provide design support for social media needs

• Conceptualize and design content deployed across digital channels

• Support the revision and enhancement work

• Work with account teams in brainstorming content strategy and planning editorial calendars for social media

• Prepare and manage retouching and other production needs

• Participate in internal meetings as well as interacting with external vendors when needed

• Ensure the level of excellence in all creative work produced and executed is consistent, cohesive and stays on-brand

• Work within schedules and budgets while able to manage own workflow from concept to execution

• Keep abreast of latest interactive technology and developments/trends in the digital and social landscape

• Apply strategic thinking to deliver end-to-end user experience solutions with a focus on user needs and business goals directly responsible for delivering all aspects of design, from defining customer needs to delivering concepts and prototypes to UI specifications for development 

• Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.

Key requirements and skills 

• Excellent conceptualization and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and mandarin

• Great design sensibility

• 2-4 years professional and digital creative related experience in China Market (luxury, fashion & retail brands) 

• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and hardworking professional with a positive attitude and works well under pressure in a team environment

• Demonstrate strong layout design skills and ability to convey complex ideas in a straightforward and visually-appealing manner

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator a must, After Effects, Premiere, Lightroom a plus)

• Passionate and demonstrated understanding of website usability/web optimization, ecommerce, UX, and responsive design systems

• Stays up to date in the graphic/digital design industry; identify new techniques and trends

• Able to work alone with minimal direction, as well as part of a larger team

• Well-organized and assertive with solid time management skills, ability to manage high work volumes and process multiple projects simultaneously and follow up on projects with a strong sense of urgency

• Solid understanding of how to drive conversation and engagement across social media 

• Knowledge of the luxury sector in China
