Overview
Here on the Apple Store Online (ASO) team, we are dedicated to delivering a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy, and learn everything Apple.The Digital Experience and Merchandising (DE&M) team defines, develops, and delivers this exceptional shopping experience across all our digital platforms. As a Senior Specialist in Digital Marketing & Merchandising, you will be instrumental in shaping how people shop, driving innovation, and creating best-in-class experiences for Apple customers. This role focuses on the planning and execution of innovative regional digital merchandising strategies for campaigns and promotions on Apple flagship stores within China marketplaces and social platforms. You will leverage a deep understanding of business goals, commercial programs, customer journeys, and friction points to continuously optimize the e-commerce experience and captivate customers, supporting their purchase confidence.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and Execute Digital Merchandising Strategies: Drive the creation of detailed merchandising strategies, briefs, and plans for campaigns and promotions, collaborating with worldwide DE&M, commercial, marketing, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure Local Relevance and Optimization: Partner with worldwide and regional cross-functional teams for product launches, ensuring merchandising (navigation,content, curation) is locally relevant and optimized for performance.
• Analyze Performance and Drive Insights: Generate comprehensive reports and analyze store performance to extract actionable insights, translating them into clear recommendations and strategic plans for continuous improvement.
• Enhance Customer Journey: Work cross-functionally to deeply understand the customer journey and implement strategies that significantly enhance the digital shopping experience across platform stores.
• Global Collaboration: Engage in regular meetings with peers across AMR and Europe, ensuring alignment and collaboration during overlapping business hours.
Minimum Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in digital commerce, marketing, customer experience, digital merchandising, or equivalent experience
• Deep knowledge in China digital/social commerce platforms
• Fluent English and Chinese
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working closely with creative and UX teams to create innovative customer experiences.
• BA/BS in a related field.
• Experience enhancing digital merchandising performance through data-driven insights.
• Solid communication and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of China e-commerce platforms, regional retail trends, including shopping behaviors, consumer preferences, and conversion optimization strategies.
• Familiar with using platform analytics reporting tools, Adobe Analytics, and Tableau.
