1, To lead the relationship between the agency and the client, taking overall accountability and responsibility for all aspects of the agency’s delivery, including service levels, product quality and value commitment delivery.
2, To build productive and valuable senior level relationships with key client stakeholders in both sides of a Sino-European JV.
3, To develop a solid understanding of the spoken and unspoken needs that the agency must deliver in order to meet or exceed client expectations.
4, To act as key point of contact for Agency Global and Regional (APAC) leadership. Providing frequent and timely status updates and understanding broader developments and commitments and then cascading those down to local teams.
5, While China will be c.80% of focus, to also act as regional lead on the account across other active markets in the region. Providing guidance, inspiration, direction and advice to local teams as necessary.
6, To effectively manage the financial management of the account, including payroll management within parameters mutually agreed with your line managers.
7, To actively seek opportunities to increase account profitability by selling additional services and/or identifying incremental areas for efficiencies.
8, To ensure that the China team have the optimum structure and talent mix, to deliver the agency objectives within the financial parameters given.
9, To develop and motivate your team to deliver to the best of their abilities in a collaborative, connected way.
10, To contribute actively to the broader Agency health and development as a key member of the China leadership (ExCo) and regional client ,leadership circle.
11, Willingness to ‘get stuck in’ with the team and lead by example.
1, Experience building senior client relationships
2, Experience with both Chinese and MNC companies in China
3, Experience working with JV companies a bonus
4, Fluent in Chinese and English, comfortable conducting business in either language
5, Strong ‘presence’ as a leader – the sort of person who others naturally listen to.
6, Media industry experience a bonus but not essential. We will consider candidates from other marketing service backgrounds who have solid experience and other attributes.
7, Credibility to talk with senior clients beyond media issues and have a qualified and respected point of view about broader marketing and business issues.
8, Ability to build rapport with others easily and quickly get along with people
