Job Duties: Assist executive producer both for the weekly show “Thoughtful China” and for related events including Women to Watch China Honors

These duties include:
- Research upcoming show topics as directed by the EP. Determining show topics and guest speakers will remain the primarily responsibility of the EP.

- Communicate with the Head of Production/Creative Director to ensure necessary crew and equipment are available for scheduled shoots and assist during the shoot, whether in the studio or on location, including preparation. Guest scheduling will remain the primary responsibility of the EP, but the AP may need to assist with communicating with selected speakers and their staff on logistics.

- Maintain the production schedule as episodes are scheduled, shot, edited, translated and released and helping ensure deadlines are met at each stage and prioritize information for expeditious handling to ensure each show is edited and translated on time for release. The EP ultimately is responsible for the flow of production, including communication with the Head of Production/Creative Director about shooting schedules and crew/equipment needs and making sure footage is shot on time, but the AP will maintain a daily check list for each show in production at any stage and update the EP on the current stage of each show on a daily basis. Writing scripts and conducting paper edits of the rough cuts will remain the primary responsibility of the EP, but the AP may be asked to distribute scripts as needed to crew members and guest speakers ahead of shoots.

- Coordinate necessary payments made to the hosts and translators of the “Thoughtful China” show along with the Accounting Director in the Shanghai office.

- Assist with the subtitles after the initial translation is carried out, namely proof-reading the translation and overseeing the person assigned to input the subtitles.

- Upload new episodes to websites each week, building the e-mail blast, and updating the website with guest bios as necessary, unless this is handled by the LA office instead. Writing the e-mail text and guest bios will remain the primarily responsibility of the executive producer.

- Update the “Thoughtful China” website with news and other information as directed by the EP. Providing the content to be uploaded will remain the primarily responsibility of the executive producer.

- Manage social media activation of new episodes, namely on Chinese-language sites like Sina Weibo, and seek KOLs related to the specific topics of each week’s shows to further promote the show.

- Assist with events related to “Thoughtful China” including Ad Age’s Women to Watch China Honors, including:

- direct communication with the designated contact person at outside venues hired for events, assisting with outreach through social media, to relevant KOLs, to local press to promote ticket sales and media coverage of events

- building and managing a database of key targets for sponsorship and some outreach to sponsorship targets and attend meetings as required to promote sponsorship opportunities
- development of press kits and sales kits in English and Chinese
