SENIOR COPYWRITER

We are seeking a Senior Creative Copywriter with international mindset to join our Modern Silk Road team in Shanghai, working in synergy with our offices in Hong Kong, Barcelona and Paris.

If you are creative, a natural storyteller who understands that compelling stories are key in advertising, passionate about brand voice & tone, and able to convey brand identities through effective and clever messaging, this job is for you!

Duties and responsibilities

- Copywriter: write engaging copy that stands out from the crowd, in both Chinese and English, for advertising and marketing campaigns.

- Storyteller: write meaningful and memorable stories that inspires both our clients and their consumers.

- Creative: bring concepts, ideas, participate in internal reviews and can "sell" your work with enthusiasm and sound rationale.

- Collaborative team player: work closely with Art Directors and junior copywriters (under the supervision of a Creative Director), check all copy generated by team members and offer feedback when necessary.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional writing experience, agency experience is preferred but not required.

- Bachelor degree in advertising, communications, creative writing, languages, journalism - or related fields preferred - or equivalent experience.

- Open-minded and creative with solid skills in expression through words (you comb your work - and other’s - for logic, grammar, spelling and consistency).

- Proven conceptual thinker, experience in campaigns, digital, social media and video preferred.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Proactive, organized and detail-oriented work style.

- Equal parts confidence, humility, empathy and desire to learn.
