Summary 

Reuter Communications is a luxury intelligence, digital, communications and marketing agency connecting luxury brands and businesses with Asia’s affluent consumer.

We are currently looking for a Social Media Manager / Senior Manager to join our growing Shanghai team.

The successful applicant must extensive social media experience managing social campaigns, working with key influencers, developing social media content for consumer, luxury and/or lifestyle brands.  

Key responsibilities

• Act as a daily contact for clients when it comes to all things social media 

• Develop and provide counsel and advice on social media strategy - including social media campaigns and always on content 

• Manage teams to deliver all aspects of social media work – campaigns and always on social communications

• Oversea teams to deliver copy and content for clients’ social media accounts e.g. WeChat and Weibo 

• Have experience working with China’s KOL / influencer community on campaigns and content creation

• Develop strategy and manage paid media social amplification across Weibo and WeChat  

• Develop high-level conception and ideation for social media program that generate conversation and brand engagement 

• Own the brand story for our clients across all channels, maintain a consistent voice and vision 

• Create branded social content that is insightful, culturally relevant and sharable 

• Work with agency team members and account teams 

• Develop written materials of the highest quality 

• Deliver against KPIs and actionable metrics 

• Support in new business development including but not limited to developing proposals, attending pitch presentations and developing your own network 

• Proactively contribute to the development of the agency

Key requirements and skills 

• Native Chinese / Mandarin speaker 

• At least 4+ years’ experience gained in a communications/PR, advertising or social media agency 

• Network of Key Online Influencers is preferred 

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in both Chinese and English 

• Passion for writing 

• Solid editing and proofreading capabilities 

• Solid understanding of how to drive conversation and engagement across social media 

• Experience in online community management 

• Experience with integrated communications

• Knowledge of the luxury sector in China 

• Ability to manage multiple projects
