职位描述 Job Description

The Account Manager is a self-starter, but also a team player with ability to lead and motivate others, with at least three to four years of experience in an agency background. The Manager will manage a portfolio of accounts in the lifestyle and design field, alongside with the Director, and execute press strategies to maximise press coverage for clients.  The Account Manager will have strong writing skills, in-depth knowledge of lifestyle and design trends, should be adept at juggling multiple clients and possess excellent multiple editorial contacts – for online, TV and print media. A digital mindset is expected, as well as a strong network of relevant KOLs and industry contacts.

 

Working alongside the Director:

 

·         Work with all Karla Otto offices on seasonal brand plans and media strategies

·         Proactively outreach to key lifestyle/design/interior/news editors in key regional long/short lead, TV and online media outlets to secure media coverage, features, and news items

·         Able to lead, encourage, mentor, and develop junior staff members (Account Coordinator and intern as direct reports)

·         Handle day to day PR activity and duties on account

·         Write interesting, creative, and effective press materials including press releases and bios and guide accounts in branding and marketing efforts

·         Liaise with International offices to manage all editorial requests and special projects including key media materials

·         Monitor press coverage

·         Pitch and manage accounts and execute profile stories and editorial coverage

·         Execute and manage all press previews, fashion shows and the planning of events including logistics, catering, direct mailings, and décor, followed by re-cap reports

·         Proactively outreach to secure special feature stories in conjunction with Events and VIP teams to insure all steps are taken to accommodate special requests

·         Keep direct contact and communication with press/media

·         Prepare agendas and media updates for client calls

·         Compile monthly status reports that include brands’ progress comparing each month’s performances

 

KEY ATTRIBUTES

 

·         Minimum 3-4 years of experience preferably handling multiple luxury labels in lifestyle & design fields

·         Associate or bachelor degree required in advertising, PR, marketing, communication or related field

·         Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

·         Must have a solid understanding of lifestyle and design trends and industry

·         Confidence to train and direct the work of Account Coordinators and Assistants

·         Displays leadership qualities and effectively delegates where appropriate

·         Generates novel and useful ideas and solutions to everyday problems and challenges

·         Sets goals, monitors and reviews plans and prioritises tasks effectively

·         Outstanding communication skills

·         Takes ownership for specific projects without supervision

·         Strong work ethic

·         Accomplishes tasks accurately and thoroughly with strong follow-up skills

·         Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint, FGPS

·         Fluent in Chinese and English (spoken and written)
