Role

Shanghai.monks, the Shanghai office of global creative company media.monks, is looking beyond their server-side scripts in search of a Mandarin-speaking backend developer. In this role, you will be joining our office in the heart of Shanghai which works alongside Global.Monks to craft award-winning work for leading brands and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Based at our Shanghai office, you’ll play a key role in the development of the projects and products MediaMonks develops clients around the world.

• Together with our PHP, Python, nodeJS and Drupal Monks, you’ll focus on developing backend environments that run like Usain but without the slow start.

• You’ll contribute to, and learn about, the latest and greatest in backend security.

• You'll create tools and packages that will boost development speed.

• You’ll also support our clients and team with launching, fixing and maintaining websites.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience working as a Backend Developer

• You speak Chinese and English.

• Expertise in programming languages such as Java and Python

• Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript

• Expertises in relational and non relational databases

• REST API development or Enterprise API Management experience
