OVERVIEW OF JOB:
As a Junior Executive on the Marcoms team, you will be helping to drive the reputation and growth of the world’s most awarded agency to new heights.

REPORTING OF ROLE:
This role reports into Mindshare China’s Marketing Lead.

THE ROLE:

REPUTATION 80%

 

·         Maintain close ties across Mindshare’s business teams in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou to highlight the work and most critically the people of Mindshare with an awards program that over indexes the competition on local, regional and global stages, ensuring Mindshare China retains its No. 1 global ranking.

·         Assist in implementing Mindshare China’s communications and thought leadership roadmap, ensuring our people and points of view are seen both across the industry, as well as on critical client verticals. Leverage your creativity to bring thought leadership to life across new mediums and platforms, ensuring it stands out.

·         Spearhead the development and management of Mindshare’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, WeChat etc.) including curating monthly social media calendars and creating images/infographics/animations to ensure Mindshare has China’s largest agency following and online engagement + presence.

·         Prepare press releases, scripts, newsletters and thought leadership for media and client engagement. Maintain close ties to industry and mainstream press, both within China and across the globe.

·         Assist in the successful organization and smooth running of Mindshare’s external and internal events and competitions (including HR, CSR and DEI initiatives), as well as proactively organizing and advocating for speaking opportunities at industry events.

·         Support new business efforts with best-in-class collateral, branding, and video production that blows away clients, as well as assisting on key pitch submission documents.

·         Help prepare documentation for external third-party auditing.

·         Work with the marketing lead to establish and develop industry-leading partnership opportunities that amplify the agency’s agenda across China and the globe.

3.    Excellent presentation and writing skills, both in Mandarin and English.

4.    Skilled in creating engaging and creative social media content across WeChat, LinkedIn and other platforms.

5.    Calm, clear-headed and precise, even when working under pressure.

6.    Confidence to network within the industry and build strong interpersonal relationships. Maturity to successfully communicate with senior stakeholders.

7.    Passion for numbers and ability to gain insights to craft industry-leading insights and thought leadership.

8.    Passion for new technologies and ability to communicate and explain in a non-complicated way to key clients.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    Degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism or similar.

2.    Native Chinese speaker and writer. Fluent in English.

3.    Ideally 1-2+ years’ work experience in PR/Communications/Journalism or B2B marketing, however fresh graduates also welcome to apply.

4.    Ideally proficient in the use of Photoshop and FinalCut Pro.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

In 3 months

·         Confidently articulate Agency product propositions, frameworks and POVs on key industry trends.

·         Understood and identified opportunities to influence change to drive better profile development across the agency’s various client teams.

·         Built relationships across each of the agency’s business teams as well as the GroupM PR team, helping to coordinate across our Award Champions.

·         Established position as key coordinator for the agency’s awards program, ensuring entries are accurately entered on time with all supporting materials.

·         Identified key collaboration partners in China to further amplify and co-develop agency content and thought leadership across the market.

·         Created and aligned new agency social media roadmap for our WeChat and LinkedIn account, with exploration of use of other social media channels.

In 6 months

·         Built solid relationships with industry and mainstream press partners.

·         Began implementing social media roadmap, optimizing where necessary. Increased our following and engagement metrics.

·         Worked on at least 2 key thought leadership pieces.

·         Updated all relevant award tracking documentation and ensured this is kept up to date on a weekly basis.

·         Enhanced our new business asset pool and ensured our Growth Hub is kept up to date on a weekly basis.

·         Organised at least one speaking opportunity within trade or client verticals.

·         Successfully assisted in the smooth roll out of at least one external, Mindshare-branded event.

In 12 months

·         Seen as a key and trusted player of the marketing team by the entire agency.

·         Increased our local press coverage, ensuring Mindshare China is ranked as China’s No. 1 agency in terms of positive PR coverage and on social media.

·         Created a roadmap for 2022’s local PR coverage, social media plan, and local speaking opportunities, implementing your own ideas and creativity into this.

·         Increased our local award conversion results.

·         Implemented at least one partnership.
