Mindshare │ Executive, Strategy
The mission:
As an Executive for Mindshare Shanghai’s strategy team, you will support in elevating strategic thinking across the agency and helping teams provide rigorous, data-driven work for their respective account needs.
This role reports to a Strategy Partner / Director and sits within the Mindshare China central product team under the agency’s Chief Product Officer.
You are a recent graduate who is curious about the world of marketing and media. With your desire to kickstart your career, you will support in making media-focused data analyses and research for clients while helping build the agency’s strategic capabilities. To do this effectively, you will be trained and exposed to a wide range of challenges involving media and non-media levers. Hence, an analytical and curious mind will go a long way to methodically solve problems and provide the necessary inputs for key projects.

How you will bring success:
Contribute to strategic thinking
Provide strategic and analytical inputs to ensure that the team’s work is always insight-led, grounded on data, and consistently aligned with key objectives
Build relationships
Collaborate with stakeholders within and outside the agency to aid in understanding the media and business needs of key accounts
Integrate knowledge
Begin connecting disparate information from across disciplines and topics to generate actionable ideas and insights
Develop product and talent
Aid in innovating the agency’s strategic offerings in the form of frameworks and tools while upgrading the talent training capabilities within the agency
Help scale solutions
Diffuse the latest thinking, innovation and solutions across the agency with a pulse for new media frontiers and technology in China and outside
Support agency growth
Contribute in developing and executing new business projects and mapping new growth opportunities for the agency
Boost agency profile
Develop thought leadership and insights to enhance credibility and presence of the agency in the wider industry, within and beyond China
What superpowers you need:
1. Analytical problem-solving
Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and structured reasoning to craft strategic recommendations – in university or a professional setting (0-1 year of work experience). Degree in a quantitative-oriented field a plus but not required
2. Integrated reasoning
Ability to understand the stories behind data and piece together information from various sources to arrive at logical conclusions
3. Curiosity
Desire to know and question – using research skills to uncover new insights and better understand untapped opportunities in the landscape
4. Effective storytelling
Knack for preparing and formulating data-driven narratives to convince your team and other audiences of your point of view
5. Cross-functional collaboration
Skill in engaging stakeholders across functions, adapting working style and communication to accomplish assigned tasks
6. Operational discipline
Capacity to deliver quality output efficiently even amidst high pressure and multiple projects of varying natures and timelines
7. Language
Business level proficiency in Mandarin and English
