OVERVIEW

Social writer is responsible for conceptualizing, writing, proofreading and editing original content for social media platforms. You will determine the overall tone, message, structure and voice of editorial content based on available space, knowledge of editorial principles, and brand considerations. This role works directly with Content Planner, Art Director, Designers, etc.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily social media community, content delivery, as well as influencer outreach

• Contribute Social media communication, documentation, and execution

• Actively join in the client related social media information collection and desk research

• Research brand, competitor, pop culture, and other relevant sources to help determine and develop voice appropriate for the brand and the audience of the medium with minimal oversight

• Make branding recommendations when needed, Sell ideas to client and team

• Recommend ideas around brand vision

• Ensure strategic execution while collaborating closely with Art Director

• Write effective and compelling short or long-form copy for all communication channels

• Develop compelling content ideas and copy requirements 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Around 1 year’ experience in digital marketing or Social Media field

• Familiar with social media and iWOM on Weibo, Wechat, BBS, etc.

• Good understanding of social media strategy

• Ability to effectively communicate with partners

• Diligent, passionate and creative

• Proficiency in English and Mandarin
